Ingrid Ruys:

Ms. Ruys has been a leading privacy compliance expert in Alberta for over 30 years. She runs her own compliance consultancy and was the Chief Privacy Office for Alberta's Physician Officer System Program (POSP) for 13 years.

Ingrid will share her comprehensive knowledge about the Privacy Impact Assessment process and what is required to comply with Alberta’s privacy regulations (as well as what happens when you don’t), drawing on over 1000 PIAs she has personally prepared.

An international speaker with a strong background in medicine, law, compliance, and technology, Mr. Joshi will speak on security best practices to protect your practice from the dangers of criminal infiltration such as theft and ransomware and explain how you can use existing technology to meet regulatory requirements.
